Maritsa Harry is a National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM) certified Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, and Flexibility Coach since 2022. Her passion for nutrition ignited in 2016 when she participated in a traditional Caribbean cuisine cooking course, sparking a deep interest in the ingredients and nutrition behind food.

Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, Maritsa was accustomed to what she humorously calls the Standard Trinbagonian Diet (STD)—a diet rich in refined sugars, hydrogenated oils, and processed carbohydrates like breads, pasta, and pastries. As a naturally slim person, she always assumed she was healthy. However, in 2023, the development of a gluten allergy, manifesting as severe acne and leaky gut, prompted her to redefine health and closely examine her diet.

Ironically, Maritsa’s pursuit of a "healthy" lifestyle had led to bad eating habits, contributing to her digestive issues. This personal wake-up call motivated her to scrutinize her own nutrition before advising others on their health journey.

Her journey led her to a stark realization: while delicious, much of the Standard Trinbagonian Diet is calorie-rich yet nutrient-poor. Through intense research and self-reflection, Maritsa reshaped her approach to health, exercise, and diet. She reconnected with her initial motivation for joining the gym: reducing stress and increasing her health span. After making significant changes to her nutrition, she experienced a complete transformation in her health and well-being.

Now, Maritsa is passionate about sharing her newfound knowledge with others. She is committed to raising awareness of the often-overlooked connection between diet, health, and overall well-being.

Saying goodbye to traditional Trini foods was challenging, but Maritsa views it as a blessing in disguise. This experience has fueled her mission to empower others with dietary knowledge. Her goal is to inspire people to prioritize their health as their greatest wealth.

Maritsa’s vision extends beyond personal coaching—she dreams of transforming not just Trinidad and Tobago but the entire Caribbean into a "Blue Zone," where healthier lifestyles and greater longevity become the norm.
